Welcome to the first Telangana Kala Mela, to be held from 5th to 6th November, 2016 at the People's Plaza, Necklace Road, Hyderabad. Organized jointly by art@telangana and Kalakriti India, the Kala Mela would host more than 200 artists displaying their work while demonstrating their art live on the spot for two consecutive days.
Kala Mela aims to provide a conducive platform to the artists living in Telangana. The Festival is happening parallel to the Hyderabad International Street Art Festival,being organized by St+art India Foundation in collaboration with art@telangana and Kalakriti India. It would be one of the major art festivals in the world attracting artists from round the globe to demonstrate their art.
It would also be a great opportunity for the artists to sell their work. With an objective to democratize art, Telangana Kala Mela is an open platform for all.
Prior registration is required to book a stall with a nominal participation fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. One Thousand Only). However, there are no registration charges for the art students. Registrations are open in the following categories: Art Students, Professional Artists and Hobby Artists.

Last date of submission: 20th October, 16
A panel of senior artists would select participants for Telangana Kala Mela. The decision taken by the senior artists would be final.
The artists can sell their work during the Mela. No commission/extra charges would be charged by the organizers.
Artists must do live demonstration of their art during the Mela.
Organisers have the right to remove any art which they feel may hurt the sentiments of any group of people.

Students: No Participation Fee. But do carry your college/school identity card.
Other Participants: Rs. 1000
